  it was a number of years after i left the watchtower that i finally admitted to myself that i had never really investigated evolution.. i thought i was already an expert on the subject despite everything i knew about it coming form a source that was attacking the theory.

  when i began to reserch evolution objectively i was astonished by the breadth an depth of the evidence.

  i have been reading books and articles on the subject for around ten years now and always find it to be fascinating and inspiring.. a couple of years ago i began to write a summary of dawkin's book on the jws forum with the intention of helping any lurking jws who could not dare be seen reading the book for themselves.

  Cofty, magnificent! Thankyou.

  I was thinking of an event currently happening before our very eyes. Ash die-back is the species succumbing on a huge scale to the fungus Chalara fraxinea. This is resulting in huge swathes of ash trees withering to nothing.

  However, some ash plants have an immunity to this fungus. The result will be that the remaining ash gene pool will have been selected for survival from this fungus. There will have been a huge scale short timespan event leaving a stronger sub-species. Evolution as we watch.

  Evidence of Supernatural Ability

  i would be interested to hear members' views on:.

  a) what they would consider to be a supernatural ability and.

  b) what they would consider sufficient evidence to convince them it was genuine.. (it's late here so if i don't participate for the next few hours don't think i cut and run :)).

  all america is reeling and so is the rest of the world if the reaction in the uk is anything to go by.

  a sister in our congo burst in to tears when the topic was raised during a public talk on sunday.. the wt however teaches that all these sweet liitle defenseless children are to be killed, slaughtered, put to death with all the rest of earth's inhabitants.

  we can cry for the few whilst praying for the extinction or multi-genocide of the human race.

  Lets not hear crocodile tears from anyone with a JW tag. SEE JW ORG " at least two Witness youths were at the school during the shooting but were not injured" . Thats OK then huh. Bastards.

  Got the contract

  now i just have to sign on the dotted line and drop it off and i shall once again be in the permanent job field.

  i won't be earning a huge amount by any means but it is enough to cover my bills and to save a little bit.

  this does give me that relief of finances coming in, of course i'll be keeping my ears and eyes open for better opportunities, but that being said i shall embrace this new opportunity with open arms and eagerness.. it's been a hellofa tough year people - hellofa tough.

  CO Disfellowshipped in UK

  so, i have it on very good authority that a co has recently been disfellowshipped in the uk.

  he has just finished serving the north west london area.

  i don't know any details but perhaps there is someone who does know what happened.

  i have seen debates and shizzle about god or not god etc etc.. i was even confronted by an aggressive and trheatening muslim in the street, who was angry that i wanted proof that god existed.

  he ranted on a load of old b0110cks about 'hell' and stuff.

  finally he yelled at me: 'do you want god to write your name in the sky?

  Sixty two years ago I was a three year old child in the garden standing every morning with my hand out waiting for birds to settle. That would have proved the New World had come, it was coming soon.

  Still waiting. As for other prophecies? Not a one.

  Richard Dawkins said that we are all atheists about the millions of gods that pre-existed us. We however have gone one god further.

  Does the Watchtower still make a big thing about the cry of "Peace & Security"?

  it was a big thing in 70's and 80's, but seemed to have died down during the 90's up until the time i left.

  i was wondering with the arab spring and increased unrest in the middle east, whether the brothers are speculating about this again?.

  The concept is taken out of the cupboard wafted around a bit, left to air. It then is put away for next time.

  There will be a time when neglected and forgotten the only people who remember or care are those with enquiring, investigative minds. It will be our children on this website or a successor.
